Privacy policy

Effective November 2, 2026

This policy explains what happens to information when your family uses Kokitos: Toddler Games (“Kokitos”), the Android app made by Kokitos Games (“we”). We wrote it in plain language, because the people reading it are parents.

The short version

  • Kokitos never asks for personal information: no names, photos, voice recordings, contacts or location, and no accounts.
  • Your child's progress, stickers and settings are saved only on the phone.
  • While ads are on, Google's ad service receives limited technical information to show ads that are safe for children and never personalized. Turning ads off is free.
  • If a grown-up buys Premium, Google Play handles the payment, and Unity's purchasing software reports the purchase to Unity.
  • We don't run servers for the app and don't receive information about you or your child.

What Kokitos keeps on the phone

Kokitos saves one small file in its private storage on the phone. It holds:

  • progress: rounds played, stars, stickers won and modes opened;
  • settings: language, volumes, vibration, animal sounds, whether ads are on, whether Premium was bought, and whether the welcome page was seen;
  • the play statistics shown in the Grown-ups area, such as rounds played.

Kokitos never sends this file anywhere, and we can't see it. It's deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android's settings. If you've turned on Android's backup to your Google account, Android may include it in that backup.

Ads

Kokitos is free and shows ads through Google AdMob, an ad service on Google Play's list of ad services certified for apps for children. The ads are set up for children:

  • Every ad request tells Google the user is a child: “child-directed” under the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and under the age of consent in Europe.
  • Ads are limited to content rated G, for general audiences.
  • Ads are never personalized: no interest-based ads and no remarketing.
  • The app removes Android's advertising ID permission, so the ad service can't read the advertising ID.
  • Ads appear only between rounds, never in the first three minutes after the app opens, and at most once every five minutes. There are no banners.

What Google receives

To show an ad, Google's ad software needs some technical information, as in any app with ads: the phone's IP address (which can reveal an approximate location, such as the city or country), device and app information (such as the phone model, Android version, language and app version), whether ads are seen and tapped, diagnostic information about the ad software, and device identifiers other than the advertising ID (such as Android's app set ID). Google uses it to show and measure ads, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep its service working, under Google's privacy policy. Google explains more in how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Turning ads off

Grown-ups can switch ads off in the Grown-ups area at no cost, and Premium switches them off too. While ads are off, Kokitos asks for no ads, and from the next time the app opens it doesn't start Google's ad software at all.

Premium purchases

Kokitos Premium is an optional one-time purchase that grown-ups can make in the Grown-ups area, behind the parental gate. Children never see an offer or a store inside the games.

  • Payment. Google Play processes the payment under Google's terms. We never see card numbers or other payment details. Google tells the app only that Premium was bought.
  • Unity In-App Purchasing. Kokitos uses Unity In-App Purchasing, software from Unity Technologies, to talk to Google Play. While a purchase is being made, it sends Unity a report of each step (started, paid, completed or failed) with the product, its price and currency, Google Play's record of the purchase (such as the order number), the app version, the phone's model, Android version and language, when the app was installed, and identifiers for the report. Unity's servers also see the phone's IP address. Unity uses these reports to run and improve its purchasing service, under Unity's privacy policy.
  • Restoring. Each time the app starts, it asks Google Play whether Premium was bought on this Google account, so Premium comes back after a reinstall or on a new phone.

Premium is saved on the phone and never taken away.

Crash reports and statistics

Kokitos has no analytics software and no crash-reporting software of its own, and Unity's diagnostics are switched off. Google Play gives us totals, such as installs and active devices, and reports of crashes and freezes from phones whose owners let Android share usage and diagnostics. Those reports include technical details such as the phone model and Android version, and don't tell us who you are.

Permissions

  • Internet and network state, for ads and Google Play purchases. The games themselves work offline.
  • Vibration, for a soft buzz when a toy lands in the right bowl. Grown-ups can turn it off.
  • Google Play billing, to sell Premium.

Google's ad software adds a few technical permissions it needs to run. Kokitos never asks for the camera, microphone, contacts, photos, files or location.

Children's privacy

Kokitos is made for young children. We follow the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Google Play's Families policy, and the rules for children's data in Europe (GDPR) and elsewhere.

  • We don't collect personal information from children.
  • The only outside services in the app are Google's ads, set up for children as described above, and Google Play and Unity for purchases made by grown-ups.
  • The Grown-ups area, with the settings and the purchase, opens only with a long press and a math question.
  • Apart from ads, the app has no links to websites, social media or other apps outside the Grown-ups area.

Your choices and rights

  • Turn ads off for free in the Grown-ups area.
  • Delete all game data by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage.
  • Ask us anything at hello@kokitosgames.com. Because we don't hold information about you or your child, there's normally nothing for us to send or delete, but we'll answer and help you reach Google or Unity.
  • Manage what Google keeps in your Google Account's privacy settings, and read how to ask Unity in Unity's privacy policy.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising.

Security

Information sent to Google and Unity travels encrypted (HTTPS). The game file on the phone sits in the app's private storage, which other apps can't read.

If Kokitos changes how it handles information, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change reaches the app.
